Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar/FOH Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and support of FOH staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for guests while managing a team effectively.

Duties

  • Supervise and manage staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and conducting regular inventory audits.
  • Train and develop staff in areas such as food handling, customer service, and bar operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement effective cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of sales.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service between the bar, FOH and dining areas.
  • Train staff on best practices and menu training ensuring consistency and upholding quality standards on every menu item.
  • Manage shift schedules and time off requests to ensure adequate staffing during peak and non-peak hours.
  • Handle customer inquiries, comments, complaints and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest experiences.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the bar operations.
  • Assist GM in setting and exceeding employee and store targets.
  • Greeting and advising all guests in a professional manner.
  • Problem solving any equipment/technological issues.
  • Managing daily paperwork and procedures.
  • Creating and sustaining present and future relationships with customers, employees and vendors.
  • Submit suggested improvements to the running and development of the business to the GM.
  • Help to update & build SOP's and checklists keeping the business at the forefront of hospitality service.
  • Ensure employees follow all guidelines, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management within a casual dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Toast. Will train.
  • Excellent cash handling skills with experience in financial reporting and tip-out SOPs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, including training and development of staff members promoting staff retention.
  • Background in hospitality management or culinary experience is a plus.
  • Experience with a robust to-go/grab and go environment or catering is advantageous.
  • Barista skills and overall knowledge of all thing's coffee a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster positive relationships with guests and team members alike.
